Yeah, I thought the same thing about him, but Negan would never tolerate a pedophile amongst the Saviors ranks.

He was a hipster, and a clear nod to Terminus leader Gareth.

This whole season has been a nod to scenes and characters from the past 7 seasons.

 

I thought he looked like Jeffrey Dahmer

 

LOL yes, and many people including myself compared him to a young Dahmer.

I found it funny that he was accusing Ezekiel of having delusions of grandeur, as he risked his life trying to deliver zeke to Negan, a leader who is so full of himself he makes everyone else call themselves Negan too.

 

I thought of this.

 

He looks more nerdy than creepy to me. He looks like a smart nerd and has survived so long probably disguising as a weakling. I could imagine he would pretend to be a good guy and tricked Jesus if he met Jesus and Tara.

 

I loved when they called him a young Jeffrey Dahmer on TD. lol What a creeeper!

 

i see that Eugene is spreading 80s haircuts throughout the saviors. That's his plan - to ruin them from within.

Why do I keep reading this "a nod to Gareth" nonsense? There was no nod to Gareth with this guy. Didn't look like him, sound like him, act like him.... I guess if it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck, then it's a chicken.... or something. Lol

I think @Rapscallion came up with that and I’m still puzzled over it!

 

That Savior reminded me of Gareth because of his clothing and his smug attitude.

 

Gareth is at a different (higher) level from this guy. The fact that Gareth can be and is a leader of a not-too-small community speaks about his 'ability' and is much higher than this guy, who is just a low level saviour.
