What the f*ck did they do to Chuck's face? I'll still watch it, though. Charles Lee Ray, the Lakeshore Strangler!

Yes it's Brad Dourif doing the voice. Same guy that also played him in human form.

Even though I liked all the others for the most part, I'm glad it looks like there's more horror than comedy this time around. Not a huge fan of the re-design but can't wait to see it regardless.

Don Mancini (creator and co-writer of the entire Child's Play franchise) has stated that Curse of Chucky will take place following the events of Child's Play 3 and thus omitting anything involving Bride and Seed of Chucky. Mancini wanted to take this film to the original roots of Child's Play and make it more darker and less comical.

Brad Dourif (Charles Lee Ray in Child's Play 1 and voice of Chucky in the entire series) will be returning to voice Chucky once again.

Fiona Dourif reprises the character named Nica. She is daughter to Brad Dourif, who has voiced Chucky in all six Child’s Play films. http://cdn.bloody-disgusting.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/curse-of-chucky-watermarked.jpg

    Two new pictures
    http://postimg.org/image/s8esurqwd/
    http://postimg.org/image/4l98sww6l/

Just a little know about the main players.

Who is Sarah? Sarah is Nica's and Barb's mother; the one who apparently committed suicide, and that's why the whole family is regrouping for her funeral.

Who is Nica? Female leads and daughter of Chucky.

Who is Barb? Antagonist and controlling sister Nica.

Who is Jill? Babysitter and lesbian lover of Barb.

Who is Alice? Nica's niece and the daughter of Barb and Ian. Possible subject of Chucky's goal. You see the beginning of the trailer where the little girl (Alice) hugging the Chucky doll.

Who is Ian? Husband of Barb.

Who is Father Frank? Interfering Priest.

What I hear from the rumor about:

A rumor on the final scene.

Will they have to show once again how Chucky is brought back to life? The trailer shows us where Chucky's first appearance is going to be when he arrives in the mail. They basically told us we'd have to wait and see. It's basically after Child's Play 3, so most likely they just got the doll in production again and there's another explanation as to how he came back. Maybe someone revived him, or they took part of the doll and remade him again like they did with Child's Play 2. I believe they filmed some sort of "Carnival" scene during production. I guess so.

August 2, 6:30 PM at Fantasia international film festive in Montreal, Canada. If you live in Montreal, check it out: http://www.fantasiafestival.com/2013/en/films-schedule/235/curse-of-chucky

I am from Toronto. I wish to go to Montreal to see it. Dang. I'm sure there is a surprise someone will spoil in a spoiler tag for us.

All 6 films will be available on DVD/Blu-ray in one collection October 8th.

"Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced and detailed the Blu-ray releases of Chucky: The Complete Collection, a 6-disc box set that includes all six Child's Play franchise films, as well as the individual release of Curse of Chucky, the series' latest installment. Both titles arrive on Blu-ray on October 8th.

Official Synopsis, The Chucky Collection: Set a play date with Chucky as all six movies come together for the first time in the chilling Chucky: The Complete Collection. The killer doll torments his original victim, young Andy Barclay, in Child's Play, Child's Play 2 and Child's Play 3. Then the ruthless redhead teams up with his dream doll, Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly), in Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky. Chucky is back again in Curse of Chucky to terrorize a family with whom he shares a mysterious connection. Oozing with hours of bonus materials, Chucky: The Complete Collection is a thrilling, chilling, campy, must-own set. Wanna play? The individual Blu-ray release of Curse of Chucky is identical to the version included as the sixth disc in the collection. However, the individual release includes both a DVD and UltraViolet digital copy of the film. The 6-disc set breaks down as follows:

    Child's Play

Synopsis: Voodoo and terror meet within an innocent-looking doll inhabited by the soul of a serial killer (Brad Dourif) who isn't ready to die. After 6-year-old Andy Barclay's (Alex Vincent) babysitter is violently pushed out of a window to her death, nobody believes him when he says that "Chucky," his new birthday doll, did it until things start going terribly wrong. And when an ensuing rampage of gruesome murders lead a detective (Chris Sarandon) back to the same toy, he discovers that the real terror has just begun. The deranged doll has plans to transfer his evil spirit into a living human being: young Andy.

Child's Play was originally released on Blu-ray by MGM in 2010 with fewer extras. Here, the first film is presented in 1080p with English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1, Portuguese Dolby Digital 5.1 and Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1 surround, and offers English SDH, Spanish, Portuguese, Cantonese and Korean subtitles. (No word yet as to whether the Universal version features a new video transfer.) Extras include:

    Child's Play 2

Synopsis: Chucky's back! The notorious killer doll with the satanic smile comes back to life in this new chapter depicting the terrifying struggle between young Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent) and the demonic doll attempting to possess his soul. Despite being roasted to a crisp in his last escapade, Chucky rises from the ashes after being reconstructed by a toy factory to dispel the negative publicity surrounding the doll. Back in one piece, Chucky tracks his prey to a foster home where the chase begins again in this sequel to the enormously popular original.

Child's Play 2 is presented in 1080p with English DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 and French European DTS 2.0 stereo, and offers English SDH and Spanish subtitles. No special features are included.

    Child's Play 3

Synopsis: Eight years after seemingly destroying the killer doll, Andy Barclay (Justin Whalin) turns 16 and is placed in a military school. Meanwhile, the greedy president of Play Pals Toy Company decides to resurrect the popular Good Guys doll line, confident that all the bad publicity is forgotten. As the assembly line recreates the first doll from a mass of melted plastic, the spirit of Chucky returns to renew his quest and seek revenge on Andy. Once again it's up to Andy to stop the unrelenting killer in this fast-paced thriller.

Shortly after the happy couple's reunion, Chucky kills her and brings her back in the form of a girl's bridal doll. The two then embark on a killing spree en route to dig up Ray's corpse, which was buried with a Satanic voodoo charm capable of bringing back the dead.

Bride of Chucky is presented in 1080p with English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and French Canadian DTS 5.1 surround, and offers English SDH and Spanish subtitles. Extras include:

The film introduces Glen (Billy Boyd), the orphan doll offspring of Chucky (Dourif) and his equally twisted bride Tiffany (Tilly). When production starts on a movie detailing the urban legend of his parents' lethal exploits, Glen heads for Hollywood where he brings his bloodthirsty parents back from the dead. The family dynamics are far from perfect as Chucky and Tiffany go Hollywood and get rolling on a new spree of murderous mayhem, much to gentle Glen's horror. Chucky can't believe that his child doesn't want to walk in his murdering footsteps, and star-struck Tiffany can't believe that the movie will star her favorite actress, Jennifer Tilly (playing herself), who soon becomes an unwitting hostess to this new family in more ways than one.

    Curse of Chucky

Synopsis: From the filmmakers that brought you Chucky comes the terrifying return of the pint-sized doll possessed by the spirit of a notorious serial killer. When a mysterious package arrives at the house of Nica (Fiona Dourif), she doesn't give it much thought. However, after her mother's mysterious death, Nica begins to suspect that the talking, red-haired doll her visiting niece has been playing with may be the key to the ensuing bloodshed and chaos. The return of America's favorite toy, voiced again by Brad Dourif, is unrated and full of more blood-splattered thrills and chills.

I heard Scream Factory tried to make a deal with Universal but they said no because they plan to release it. I know that Don Mancini has said that he has hours of footage that he filmed on the set of 2 and 3. I'm very disappointed that no extra footage on the part 2 and 3. I've taped Child's Play 2 from the TV version a long time ago, it has all new extended scenes. Should I buy the Chucky box set? No thanks, I already have the first three film on DVD. I'll wait for them releasing special features on CP 2 and 3 in the future.

Hope you read this. Thanks for your time.

Not big ont he look myself but it isnt so bad. Where do you get that his look is what they meant by throwback? The MOVIE is supposed to be a throwback to the earlier films being scary over funny.

According to actress Danielle Bisutti that her character Barb gets killed by Chucky. It's the sequence where Nica is screaming, after Chucky watching her from the car. If you play it slowly, you can see Barb, like, falling on Nica there. Here is a screenshot: http://postimg.org/image/7gttkako1/

Christine Elise (Kyle from Child's Play 2) talks about "Curse of Chucky":
    http://chuckyelblog.blogspot.ca/2013/07/exclusiva-christine-elise-kyle-nos.html

Someone spoiled in the spoiler tag that he finished watching the movie early. Does he makes up the stories, does he lie, does he?

    Fake spoilers?

Someone mentions that Alex Vincent, who portrays Andy Barclay, won't be in this movie as a cameo. I don't know whether he may have a cameo or not. Just wait and see until someone will spoil it next week.
