It was chewing on his boot! lmao that walker mustve been without a meal in so long it forgot to chew on flesh lol I was both horrified and excited at the same time watching that scene cause if his hallucination of Merle was a walker gumming his boot then maybe just maybe there was a walker at the top of the hill as well instead of Merle.

 

I was hyped when he hit the top and yelled, "Yea, you better run!"

Being a younger brother I def knew how he felt trying to climb that ridge

 

Daryl was great in this episode. I was hoping they would have one that showcased him early in the season, and this one was everything I had hoped it would be.
