Who did Darryl bring to the prison?

 

I think a job is just what DD needs. Look at him at the prison in S4a. He was on the council, he was organizing runs, bringing the most survivors in etc. He was good at what he did. I believe it gave him confidence and a feeling of worth, taking care of a community.

If all else fails- he could be a stable boy (Nervous Nellie), cultivate Cherokee Roses, baby sitter for Lil' Asskicker, or be the local taxidermist (although, he'd be they only one bringing anything in).

 

They're the kind of people, and Alexadria is the kind of place, that rejected Daryl before the ZA. Rick in his clean pressed uniform would be one of the type of people telling him to move along to.

D is more at home surviving in the wild, with his crew by his side.

I don't know how it'll pan out storywise, but he's definitely a square peg in a round hole there. I can't see him being killed off any time soon though as he's iconic by now.

 

I'm enjoying what they are doing with Daryl. For most of the prison arc he was largely an agreeable sidekick to Rick, who occasionally made a redneck one liner. After Too Far Gone, he got more interesting again, and now they have even more potential to deepen his character.

 

Wasn't Deanna out to pick him as an officer along with Rick?

 

If I had to say about Daryl's job, it would probably either be something related to hunting and making animal traps or he should be a deputy to Rick. I think that Rick and Daryl is a good combination of Good and Bad, they balance each other out. Daryl is a bad cop and Rick is the good cop(I'm talking about Rick's old way of policing).

 

It was mentioned in passing when him and carol were talking about his popularity at the prison.

 

I was dearly waiting for that haircut as well.

Bob...any many other prisonites. In S401, when Daryl walks through the meal area, you hear, "Daryl!, what's up? Hey!" Carol then comments that even though all these people like him, she liked him first

Daryl is there to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And he's all out of bubblegum.

 

Daryl isnt going to split on the group. And i think the ASZ would be stupid to exile him. He's so useful and resourceful. I think its just a case of knowing how to utilize him whilst keeping him happy... he's not going to go along and do something he isnt happy to!

 

Aaron follows Daryl into the woods for a piece of his ass.

Deanna wants Daryl's ass cos she likes a bit of rough.

Daryl is becoming the sexual object of ASZ, so Carol burns it down.

 

I think Daryl will become the largest smoker under the porticoed!!! And in freetime he hunting weasel and walking...

 

And could someone suggest that he gut his kills somewhere besides the front porch? That's all well and good when you're squatting on the dirt in the forest eating mud snake, but dirtying up that pristine house got me all tense (and not in a "I'd like to wash Daryl's hair for him" kind of tense).

 

I do think Deanna's good at reading people and so for right now she's giving Daryl lots of space. My hunch is similar to some of your own: a scout, or something similar, that lets him be outside as much as he wants. I could also see her asking him to train some of the ASZ folks in tracking and the use of weapons, esp. b/c he would put a quick kibosh on those folks who had some unrealistic or romanticized notion of what it meant to fight zombies. He would take the glamour out of it, if that makes sense.

 

I don't think that Daryl is gonna get a job.
Deanna doesn't want him there (we saw that in the last look she gave him, when he went away from the place of the fight). And he doesn't want to be there.
I guess, Deanna is going to give him the opportunity to leave freely...
