    We all know Daryl for bein a badass, but I think he's proven to provide much more to the group than just muscle and tracking. Since the second half of season 4 I think he's kind of stepped in for hershel as the moral guide so to speak. Rick, Beth and Carol have all benefited from his earthy wisdom. Like carol said he's a man now. I honestly don't think Daryl has reached his peak yet.

    Daryl's character is really diverse, and will be an inaugural part of the show for years to come

    Well I think it's safe to say that Carol and Beth have helped shape who he has become. I notice a lot of similarities in his episodes with Beth and Carol. The scene of him helping the injured Carol away from the van mirrors him helping the injured Beth walk. He answers one of Carol's questions with a "uhhh-no" like he answered Beth when she asked what changed your mind?, he helps burn Carol's past away like Beth helped burn his past away. Kind of cool how women are the big influence in his life. Seems the men in his past have always let him down. One other thing when Carol says, you were a kid, now you're a man... is pretty similar to how Beth ended up. She was a kid, now she's a woman capable of taking care of herself.
