Definitely a Rick's sniper. Rick climbed the column and used the dead guy's sniper rifle to check out the Sanctuary entrance. So, that is a sniping spot.

did that sniper not see the Saviors escaping from their compound? i wouldn't have stayed up there if i were him. hightail it the eff out of there.

 

Indeed... I was also thinking that particular character could be taking another comic book death that we kind-of already got in a way. This got me thinking that if it was done exactly like the comic, it would not be repetitious or feel similar.

But yowsa! That guy was in a bad way. Hopefully we get to see that piece of time they snipped away, I assume a savior POV scene that actually details what Eugene's plan actually was, other than just shooting them... A bunch.

I want to officially dispel the vicious rumors that this was Bob Miller. While Bob Miller is clearly the main assassin for Alexandria, he was NOT on sniper duty that particular day, as he had prepaid for a vacation before the war was planned. Union rules prevent the rescinding of his approved leave days. Those trying to suggest otherwise are cowards and liars and should be ashamed of themselves. Bob Miller still lives!
