    A dysfunctional blended family is forced together when they realize a reported virus is actually the start of the zombie apocalypse.

    As far as labeling people goes, why is it necessary to call them a "blended" family? Can't they just be a family?

    And while we're on the subject, they don't really seem dysfunctional. Sure, they have a drug-addict son that makes them a STRESSED family, but they all seem to work together pretty well.

    Don't you think that 2 Wives,3 Kids,Salvadorians they just met,a dead Doggie and poor SuSu make for a Blended Family?

    Although it IS California if thats your point?

    this was a description of the first episode. There were no salvadorians, etc. Just Maddie, Travis, Alicia and Nick. Aside from the drug addict bit, yeah, that's a fairly typical California family anymore.

    I think "dysfunctional and blended" accurately describes our motley crew of Travis, Madison, Lisa, Nick, Alicia and Chris.
