No, she didn't do it on purpose. She ran out as Daryl told her to go on to the other building and didn't look to her left.

Can't really tell.. One second she was with Daryl and Noah then a quick cut to her getting hit by the car.. Either bad editing or she did it intentionally... I think she may have made one of her snap "greater good" decisions and did it to get close to Beth.

My husband thought the guys in the car saw it was a woman and hit her on purpose, to add to their 'stable'.

 

Maybe that's what the cross people do. Drive into people an injure them so they can bring them into the hospital without hassle?

Edit: Ah, there's a cut before she gets hit so we don't see which way she'd looking. Doesn't look like she tried to get hit. The cops might have hit her on purpose though.

Even when slowed down I couldn't tell if Carol knew the car was coming or not, she looks forward the entire time.

 

Yeah I think so, the Beth story they told her sounds like total bs, they must injure people on purpose.

 

she had no reason to throw herself in front of the car, face it if she wanted to get taken, just waving them down would have done the same thing, but they seem to be really lazy and targeted her, I guess that's one way to catch your victim. I bet they take dynamite to go fishing too.

 

Seems overly convoluted at first, but would add to their debt they hold over their workers. Besides Beth, fishy story about just coming across that guy just jumping off building and even the source of Noah's crippled leg. Clonazepam, the drug doc claimed Beth was told to give to that other doc can cause short term memory loss, confusion, impaired motor skills...a "hangover effect" amoung some. Think doc has to be mixing cocktails to make sure side effects happen to everybody.

When I watched I didn't think she looked in that direction. I also suspect they run into people on purpose. If they wanted to catch her they wouldn't want get out of car first . She was carrying a big honking gun.
I did start to wonder however if she ran out to deliberately distract them away from Darryl and Noah. She had previously looked out window and saw cross people and knew they had heard gunshots so perhaps she wanted to lead them away or get caught and make cross people think she was alone and had made the gunshot noise.

 

It is highly possible the cross cops were tracking them down, but i believe IMO that carol was simply not looking where she was going.

 

Why would they waste medicine injuring people on purpose?
