A villain who killed an annoying and entitled shit like Henry can't be all bad.

Same here. And I'm glad it was Negan and, indirectly, Carol who took her out. Next on the list - Daryl taking out Beta!

 

Yep. By rights, Beta should have been dead at the bottom of that elevator shaft. Daryl did it once, he should be the one to get the kill now.

 

I loved having such an interesting villain around. And one that was so wonderfully brought to the screen by Samantha Morton.

Yet I do appreciate that her death was done in this manner. I am speaking more to the timing of the death rather than how the death happened. One of the (many) things I love about Angela Kang's TWD is that she does not adhere to any previous captain's play book. She has flipped the switch on the notion that all major events have to either happen at the MSF or the season finale. Here we are in episode 12 and the major baddie has been killed. That would have been unheard of in seasons 3-8

I will miss Samantha Morton. But I am so thankful that she was the one who brought Alpha to the screen

Oh, how sweet the sound! lol Mama got bested. The best thing is that she lived to know she got a grade A con job . . big time! The rattle snake done lost it's head! Way to go Carol and Negan!

 

I was somewhat surprised that a big talker like him had nothing to say to her as she was dying.

 

Go back and watch his smile as she was realizing she got conned. I tell you true Blackbird, I don't think I have ever seen a wordless scene with more expression than a scene with dialogue. That scene riveted me through and through. My eyes darted back and forth from him and her. Their expressions spoke volumes to me! Then he gave her the kiss of death again! I was gobsmacked!

So, now that Alpha is dead what effect will that have on Beta? I’m not a comic reader so I don’t know if and when he finds out and how much it will mess with his already deranged mind. Can he hold the group together without her?

 

I thought it was a great kill and glad it wasn't the season 10 "cliffhanger" ending. JDM did a great job as did Samantha Morton. However, when she was talking to him (before he slashed her) and looking up into his face I kept wondering "how does a Whisperer have such clean teeth?". Things that make me say hmmmm.

 

Judging by his TV-show persona, I'd say it should pretty much have a similar impact on him as Jason Voorhees seeing his mother get killed by a camp counsellor.

When she removes her mask i am always shocked by samantha mortons beautiful blue eyes.i think she is lovely looking and an amazing actress. Alpha terrified me whoever cast that role deserves a medal. Get in line behind samantha for the major tv awards this show should get but never does.

 

Totally agree with everything you said here. Every time her mask is off I can't stop staring at her eyes. And I think how can someone that beautiful be that terrifying. Lol
