I think it would be interesting if one of Eugene's people got brainwashed and started sympathizing with Negan. I don't think it would be Eugene himself, but maybe Rosita or a red shirt. Could make her character pretty interesting. One thing I've noticed with Kirkman though is that subplots tend to get wrapped up very quickly, usually within a couple of issues. So I doubt this hostage situation will go on for very long. It will be resolved rather quickly in one way or another.

 

Rick is loosing it again!

The last few episodes he just seemed really unsure.
He didnt gave direct actions or anything.

And then the shot with the phone... i didnt even knew he still had it!

Looks like he will be cheating on his girlfriend with his dead ex-wife.

 

Nah, I'm sure the Lori subplot's done with. He looked at it and said there wasn't anything to get. Still, it better be over.

 

I liked the issue. I will say I'm totally glad I waited this long to start reading. Just like the small amount of TV shows I watch. I can't stand to have to wait to see what happens next. Anyway...

1. I think Eugene would break when it comes to Rosita but I agree. I think he will formulate some sort of plan with...

2. I know Dwight could have been in those last scenes to throw us off but mentioning the Iron stuck out to me. The Iron is a punishment for breaking the rules at The Sanctuary. Like others have said, I feel Dwight will play some part in Eugene's escape or sabotage.

3.Ezekiel went from a P-Funk All-Star King, with a friggin' Tiger, to the most insufferable character in like 15 issues. There has to be some payoff. Either redemption or betrayal. Just give us something. I'm tired of seeing him moping around the panels. Uggg.

4. Agreed. I found it funny that it was a scene centered around baggage. I honestly don't feel Kirkman meant it to be a heavy handed metaphor. It just was what it was.

 

It was ok.... They just need to hurry up and release issues #122-thru-#126 and get this 'All Out War'/Negan arc over with.

 

I say Ezekiel goes down in a blaze of glory. Straps some grenades under his shirt and try to get back in with Negan. Then boom and hes remembered a hero.

Much better than the weak man he has slowly become. It would redeem him and give us a hint of him betraying Rick.

Anyway, good issue. It figured it would be filler, but the dialogue and writing was so good, and seeing everyone's reactions to the destruction of ASZ was really gripping imo. You can really feel their pain as you see them all watch as half of them home has been demolished in smoke. And that one frame of Rick watching over the place as he leaves with everyone...damn. It's a loss for them, but they expected it and are carrying on like it's another bruise, which makes it even more sad.

I really have to give it to Eugene this issue. Guy's become a total badass "No matter how many genitals you sever", that's hardcore. And I really do think Dwight is going to help him escape. Euegene's right up his alley in tough people that stand up to Negan, I think he was a little impressed.

It's going to be kind of ironic because of their history, so to speak. I could see him saying, "By the way, still have my dick." XD Interested in seeing how Dwight gets to #123. This will probably be where we find out who he's really with.

 

Rosita wasn't in the same room as Eugene at the end, but do we know she wasn't captured? She was with Eugene when Negan found them.

 

Ahh, I've only read it once and didn't catch that. That's strange. Negan just let her go safely.

Haha. I thought it was Rosita too. I guess I need to rethink my last post in the thread. What's funny is I noticed the tattoos and thought "I never noticed Rosita having tats before."

I'm trying to find her on the Walking Dead wiki. No luck yet.

 

I thought the exact same thing when I saw the tattoo. What the heck were they thinking? A random girl who looks kind of like Rosita, has a badass attitude like Rosita, and even wears hats in a Rosita-esque way, and who also is close to Eugene, but yet is just randomly NOT Rosita!?!?!?!?!?!

 

lol, I don't know, she told Eugene what was what, and basically carried him along by the seat of his pants. Or maybe all women just have to resort to badassery around Eugene, in order to deal with him. They just go into 'mom' mode.

 

I can hear Kirkman's thoughts now. "I can't kill off Rosita yet, but someone has to die in the Eugene side-arc. I'll make another Rosita and kill her".
