Also, I'm not so sure Negan's biochemical melee weapons are going to work as well as he's expecting them too.

Yeah, I've been waiting for it since the day the Gov chopped him. I've always wondered why he never fashioned anything himself along the way. But with everything he's always going through, and the trauma he's always experiencing(let's face it, this guy never gets a break lol) the idea always remained in the back of his mind as a dream for a day when things settle down and return to "normal". Plus, I'd imagine crafting something functional, durable, and comfortable, is much easier said then done. Especially while on the road, and many places being inaccessible or simply looted to the max.

Nonetheless you've got a good point when it comes to Earl Sutton; I'm extremely nervous for the man, without a doubt the one and only blacksmith would be a primary target were the Hilltop invaded. Yikes.

Why don't you buy the issues? Only $2.99, and IMHO pretty cool to collect. But mostly I buy them because it makes me feel like I'm doing my little part in supporting the future of the franchise LOL

All there is around here is Books a Million and it doesn't have the issues, only the volumes.

 

What is the point of going that direction with Paul? Must they bow to PC?

Relatedly, I have always suspected that Daryl is gay, and that is why he and Carol always laugh when they get flirty.

 

I don't think they're bowing down to anyone, it seems pretty organic with his character to me. Damn, I'm going to have to read all of the comics and see if there were any clues.

 

Honestly, I think it gives a lot of insight into his character. Maybe even helps to explain some of his characteristics, and why he is the way he is. For example why he's a loner and always so isolated, never letting the dust settle on him in any one place. His strength, and his calm calculating demeanor, as well as his superior fighting skills and athletic agility. I'm sure he had spent a lot of time alone and encountered his fair share of bullies, violence and even more hate in his life before the Turn. Really, the more I think about it, it's not that big of a shock.

But, as far as "going that direction with Paul", I'm not too sure if this "relationship", if you can call it that, is too awful important to Paul. I mean, just a few issues ago, when he chose to follow Rick and the people of Alexandria he stated "All I have at the Hilltop are a bunch of books.."
So who knows..?
Right now it seems to be adequately serving the purpose of "fleshing out" his character and making him more robust. Giving people ways to relate to, and sympathize and identify with him. Making him more "real" or human so to speak. I mean, up until now, all we knew of him at all was that he was a super-bad ZA ninja who bears a striking resemblance to our lord and savior. LOL

 

There weren't clues, per say,but definitely subtle nudges and nuances. These faint, seemingly indistinct and unassuming aspects of his personality. Although admittedly much of it never even dawned on me until today.

 

Pretty good issue.

The Jesus aspect surprised me.
