I think, based on TS_19, what it is, is, the virus-- the reanimation part of it-- is already inside all the people in the ZA, but it is overridden by our living brains while we are alive. once we die, there is nothing to override the virus, and we reanimate.

the fever part, i think, is partly due to how dirty the walkers are. think about it. a regular human bite is already dirty enough. think about if it was a human with chunks of rotting flesh in it's mouth. and think about if it was a DEAD human with rotting gums, AND rotting flesh in its mouth. and maybe the part of the virus we all already cary weakens our immune system so that we cannot fight off infections like we used to be able to. those two things alone would combine to make it very reasonable for a bite to kill us quickly.

I think whatever the walker passes to the survivor in a bite is something particularly special and potent. If it was normal pathogens associated with rotting things, it wouldn't be 100% fatal, especially not 100% fatal within like 12 hours or so. If the survivor's immune systems were weak enough to make this type of thing 100% fatal so quickly, then they'd be showing other signs of being immunocompromised: opportunistic infections, fatigue, weakness, skin lesions, etc. To me it makes the most sense that it is a walker-specific 'virus' being passed. I think simplist way to explain it without invoking the clumsiness of multiple types of viruses is that its a mutated version of the virus the survivors have inside of them.

I don't think Negan is going to brake out, amass an army, and attach again. It would be recycling the T.V. show's Gov. story line.

This makes sense. I've always been in the camp that it's just something we won't know about zombies. I don't think it has to follow real world rules any more than zombies do

I wonder how much the Saviors are going to respect Dwight's leadership. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a struggle for power with some deaths

I just want someone goes to negan's cell and smash his skull with lucille and iron his face like he did with dwight and others...is just me or i think both the villains ends (thus far, we still dont know if this is/was/gonna be negan's end) were too anticlimatic?

this isn't the end of Negan. it simply can't be. my guess is either Carl goes Ben and Billy on his ass…

OR (and this would be more interesting imo) "somebody" kills negan, and a crime drama unfolds. could be neat. and on the topic of Ben and Billy, i've been wondering: does Carl actually know he did that? i know he had that dream which i assume was him remembering the event… but did Rick ever actually explain that it actually happened? and he ALMOST accidentally told Andrea that one time-- i think it was when he was stealing back the guns.

Man, today sure is a damn good day to be a TWD fan. About to start watching a In Harm's Way playthrough, and tonight Issue #127 will come out. And I just have work barely perfectly in between. :)

I've just caught up with issue 126..

Big mistake not killing Negan. Carl was right .. again!

So basically they've just deferred Negan's death to another issue down the track when he tries to kill Rick.. again..
