Did you ever make a footrest? I still can't get over how they don't make those anymore except in a Colonial style.

I actually found a low profile ottoman at Ross of all places. It is still a wee bit higher than a foot rest would have been but better than the height of your average ottoman.

And then last weekend I bought a power motion recliner. So I can gauge the footrest in increments rather than just up or down (as it is with a manual lever). Funny sidebar: Last night Winifred and I were enjoying "our" new recliner while watching a movie and than suddenly the electricity goes out. And it being a POWER motion recliner I was not able to lower it until the electricity came back on. God only knows what it looked like while I was attempting to roll my fat ass out of that reclined recliner LMAO

How about something a bit different, like a bamboo "carpet"

    Nope

    1. Need color

    2. Already have tile floor - want something soft for my feet.

I will find the rug. It is out there. I just have to keep searching.

The search is fun in and of itself.

How about something swirley that won't clash with the regularity of the tile?

I thought this was a pooffle--half poof, half stool, but I misread it. No such thing as a poofle. :( It was just a poofe with an "e" at the end. :p

You must have seen all of the other ombre rugs that are similar to this but with a deeper purple and gray? I thought you might settle on one of those with the deeper tones giving a bigger pop, but then you went and surprised me with Jackson Pollock. :D

So, did you ever buy a rug? If so, which one?

This one somehow feels soothingly musical.
