I jumped out of my skin when that big BOOM happened on the wall just on the trailer. This'll be good times.
AAAAAHHHHHHH Actually, I don't plan to watch the trailer. lol Here's something with screaming that you can watch when your office mate skedaddles.
The book was very good. It'll be difficult to put all of the elements into a film, since so much of what goes on happens in people's mind. But I think casting Ewan McGregor in the lead role was a good move.
Maybe I was distracted when I watched the trailer (a rug that needed to be vacuumed was staring me in the face) but I did not find it all that scary nor all that intriguing
It was o.k. Well, after "The Shining" the bar was set very high, but still. And someone should tell Mr. King that not EVERY story he writes has to be about alcoholism. I understand it played a big part in his life, but move on, already. Oh, and containers that can store psychic energy? Who *made* them? Not these folks. And if you can make a container for psychic energy, why can't you make a *collector* of psychic energy? Place them in various areas around major population centers and let them do the collecting for you. with even a tiny amount coming in from tons of people you'd never have to torture anybody.
I am so excited to see this but none of my friends like horror movies. Do I HAVE to go by myself?????
Just tell them Doctor Sleep is a medical drama. You might lose a friend, but you won't go alone. From what I've read it's not one of those jump out of your seat horror films. It's more of a psychological thriller.
Finally got around to seeing this film. I thought it was well done and they made excellent casting choices with McGregor as the older Danny, and then also the actress who played the main villain. The ending though just didn't work for me. Solid film but I just disagreed with their creative choices. Overall the movie would've been better for me if they followed the book ending.
