Your son is just adorable! When I was younger and living at home our neighbors (who were more like family) had a half lab and half chow who looked just like your girl there. Her name was Collette. Best dog I've ever known.

im so happy to hear your experience, b/c I've read about Chows being aggressive. This sweet girl has not left his sight since Sunday. He puts a blanket on top of his comforter and she just goes there! I was very apprehensive about getting another dog, but going through the 'puppy stages' (even though it's challenging) have been worth it

 

I think that's just a myth, sort of like how people think of Pit Bulls and Rottweilers. I'm a firm believer that their temperament all comes down to how they were raised, and the sort of love and affection they're shown. Cheers to Ms. Mae!

I came home from work today & she about took my hand off for some pastrami. She then had cheese and kielbasa. Maddie is alert and wagging her tail. I hope it lasts and that the vet is wrong.

I still don't know what's wrong with Lil Bit. We picked her up from the emergency vet this morning only to have to take her to the regular vet to continue her fluids. I am so irritated because I don't know anything more than I knew yesterday. I feel so helpless, and while I know she needs the fluids and antibiotics, I also know how stressed it makes her to be at the vets office. They want to see her eat something, and I'm like "she's NEVER going to eat anything at the vet's office. She never has."

I just hope I'm not killing her with the stress this is putting on her.

What a difference a week makes! I'm happy to report that Lil Bit is doing amazing! She's all peppy and was even attacking my hand earlier. Today is her 15 birthday!

 

That's a lil bit of great news!! She'll be the last one alive in the ZA!!

This lady deserves so many blessings, and I hope she receives them. What a world this would be if we were all this kind and compassionate. I love that the dog took very little time to just turn towards her and trust her. So often strays will immediately run, even when injured. Ugh, makes me want to cry.
