I sort of love that the one thing you can count on with this group is their lack of loyalty to each other.

 

The Walking Dead often has the same discussion. What is family? Is it blood or bond?

In TWD, it's often bond over blood. The TWD "family" has been through hell and back and back to hell, they are FAMILY.

FTWD has no such connection yet, it is still very much blood over bond.

Maddie will always choose her children over anyone else, and Daniel only has Ofelia.
Travis will be torn between bond and blood, and will he stay a "Good man" and lose everything, or will he choose one and spite the other.

 

family will be blood until people start dying and nobody has any left, then it becomes bond. same thing happened in twd.

 

The age in this groups is way to tilted aswell in both directions to much. Some look way over 40+. The only person who seems to have some kind of experience is Daniel and he is probably over 50. To many young spoiled kids to. If these people are going to survive, they need to learn quickly.

Look at the TWD gang. They had Beth and Hershel for long but most others old or young died if they didn't become machines of murder and awesomeness like Carol. The TWD gang is more like in the age span of 20-40 in average and already sat on a lot of experience compared to the FTWD gang who are either older, to young or unexperienced. Maybe that new black guy will be upping their survivability abit and I presume, the soldier if they decide to take him along (which I do not see is that plausible now!) will also give them some military experience but this rag tag gang is crazy.
