I know, I wish he could see it from our point of view and dismiss them all as crazy, worthless trolls but i'm sure when you keep seeing it over & over aimed right at you, it can probably wear you down. Hopefully he's just taking a mental break to get away from the negativity for a while and he'll be back. I loved his live videos and Instagram stories

I'm so mad at Josh McDermitt for this cowardly baloney he's pullin with Negan. He should have learned how to stand up for himself during Retired At 35.

What if Eugene isn't siding with Negan? His greatest assets are his intelligence and his ability to lie/trick people. What if he's been figuring out and plotting how to defeat Negan from inside the saviors since he was taken? Once he was a prisoner, he would've realized this was the best way he could contribute

 

I think it will turn out that Eugene will redeem himself, although I don't think that's been his plan all along. I think they way they are playing it is that it started out with Eugene being Eugene. Doing the best thing he thinks he can to self preserve, even if it means being a coward and abandoning his friends. And in his mind he probably justified it by telling himself he was doing his friends a favor by telling them to stop fighting.

But in the end, I think he will make some decision to help end the war, and end Negan's reign. At least I hope that's how it plays out, because damn, poor Josh.

 

That would be fitting with his character. Either way, I think they will have to redeem him somehow by the end of the storyline. He'll do something big that contributes to Rick's side winning
