Pinky worked for the Talking Dead but did anyone get the one for Fear the Walking Dead? It's like there was a glich in the way it was recorded.

Are the Vultures somehow related to the military operation?

    Thank you! <3

I picked a gif that moves, but obviously I still don't know what I'm doing. I might need to reload it even as a still and re-crop it. I didn't realize the circle would cut off part of the cowboy hat and make you wonder if John was a Canadian Mountie. :D

You are probably thinking Colt, a famous brand of the Wild West. :D

P.S. RIck has a Colt Python.

John Dorie (Garret Dillahunt) uses what appears to be a Winchester Model 1873 in Season 4's Premiere "What's Your Story" (S4E01). Morgan Jones (Lennie James) holds John's Winchester in "Buried" (S4E04). Morgan has the Winchester slung behind his shoulder in "Just In Case" (S4E06).

    Interesting history:

Hey @Rapscallion, can you tell us anything about John's pearl-handled pistols? I remember there was a gun identification thread here, but I can't find it.

    Okay, @Lindigo. ;)

John Dorie carries a pair of Colt 1873 Peacemakers; their barrel lengths are 5 ½ ("artillery model"), nickel-plated, engraved, and have ivory handles with the monogram "JD" on them.

John told Laura/Naomi that the guns are antiques. If John is like most cowboys, lawmen, and gunfighters of the Old West, he loads just 5 bullets in the chambers, and rests the guns' hammer's on the one empty chamber as a safety measure.

In the Old West, engraved revolvers and special grips like ivory could be ordered from the Colt factory at extra cost.

That is super cool! Thank you so much! Really interesting about the empty chamber.

Ivory! I knew I wasn't looking at mother-of-pearl, but I didn't know what it was.
