    So im really worried about this series.. the movie was absolutely amazing. 10/10. Im definitely going to give this a watch but imo i just dont see any way it could compare to the movie. Luckily the Coen's are writing for the show.. so theres a bit of hope. Im really gonna miss ol' Margie though. :(

    Billy Bob Thornton stars in the Fargo TV Series, so I'll give it a chance. :Grin:

    It has an amazing cast. That said things that work in films don't necessarily work on TV. The film worked because it only looked at a limited time period. How do you make that work over years? I guess we shall see...

    yeah.. i think its going to be completely different from the movie. Although, since the Coen brothers are actually writing it - im pretty sure it will be good regardless.

    watched the premiere last night - just what I expected

    excellent cast, Billy Bob was a boss - I was completely riveted throughout -
    I will definitely be checking back in

    same here! great poilot episode. i LOVE how he messes with people's heads. the gas tank and calling Sam's kid. LMAO. great show.

    Don't really care for the Coen Brothers. I find most of their movies overrated, and thought the film Fargo was just okay. I also find Billy Bob Thornton slightly overrated. I have this on my DVR, though, and will more than likely check it out. Maybe.

    Good pilot episode..

    Billy Bob stole the show as I expected.. Even when he has no lines, he has such a strong screen presence..

    Ya, you betcha I'll be watching the series for sure .. lol

    Watched it and wasn't all that impressed by it. It was just okay. Bill Bob, who in my opinion has very little screen presence, acted just like he acts in almost everything he does, and that bored me. All in all not good enough for me to invest my time in.

    i would really like to see a cameo from Margie but i really doubt they'll do that.

    Yeah that's why I gave it a good rating.. It's good but it's not the greatest pilot I've watched and then I've seen worse too..

    The accents are throwing me off a little, the cast is floating in & out of the Minnesota 'Fargo' dialect when they speak..

    I liked the pilot. I worry that the exaggerated eccentricity of the characters, as well as the plot revolving around an organized maniac showing up in a small town, could get stale. This kind of style is great for feature length films, but it can get old in a series. But so far i'm enjoying it.

    This topic should probably be in the general TV Shows forum so more people find it....its not a horror show..

    But I just watched the second episode. Still enjoying it. I like that we are increasing the number of characters at a fairly steady pace. :). I would love to just take a dump when someone is trying to talk to me.

    Its about a little girl who never does her homework, and then one day she comes home to find out that her unfinished homework has eaten her house, taken her family hostage, and used all of her credit cards to buy polish sausage.
