    This was a good PBS documentary on the famous summer when the gothic writers were gathered at Lake Geneva in 1816, the year of the summer without sun, scandalizing everyone with their conduct and taking up Lord Byron's challenge to write a terrifying ghost story. It was on PBS last week, so I bet it is on DVR now.

    Fun for me to learn of the inspiration for our modern suave vampires.
