    Meh, I don't think she was being strategic at ALL. She was mad she didn't get to burn the city down so she did it anyway. No need for that.

    All she has talked about from season one was retaking the Iron Throne. The Iron Throne was located in the seat of power of the seven kingdoms - KL. Destroying KL destroyed that seat.

    ps - please forgive me if I don't make complete sense. I took a migraine pill and they make me loopy lol.

    I'm unclear to what you are arguing. Are you saying you just didn't like what Dany did or are you saying you don't think that it is in character with the time, place & setting of the show?

    I don't think the audience is supposed to be supporting Dany at this point. Watching Dany closely throughout each season though it should be no surprise how she acted. Our first glimpse is how she reacts to her brother getting gold poured on his head. She coldly states "He was no dragon." Her brother was an ass but her face did not show shock or terror, it was practically expressing exhilaration.

    That there is the moment of foreshadowing that was leading to the fall of Kings Landing.

    This is what the Iron Throne is supposed to look like. In the books it was forged with 1,000 swords.

    Ok, ok so what does it look like? Well according to the author it looks exactly like THIS painting by Marc Simonetti.
