Can someone explain this to me? I watched it, rewound, and watched it again, and I still don't know what Glenn meant. Not to be slow or anything, but what was he trying to say to Rick?

if I remember correctly, he said something about reuniting with Maggie, meaning that was his focus. But now he "caught up" with Rick. I take it as same mindset, kill first trust second. The group over strangers.

I thought he was trying to say...'I'm like you now', or maybe, ''We're not all that different now'.

Yes this is exactly what he meant. Unfortunately I notice the writers like taking short cuts with dialog which doesn't always convey the point. He's basically acknowledging to Rick that he is now on his A game and no one is getting over. Liking the new Glenn.

I thought the exchange was really poignant. Glenn is admitting that, now, he'd never try and save the guy in the container car. Rick was right. That is not the Glenn (except s3 after the Mags/Gov assault) we've know. It's like a loss of innocence for Glenn.

His slicked back hair (so long baseball cap!) constitutes Rick Grimes 2.0 now. If you've haven't notice the change in his grooming.

I think Glenn's loss of innocence was there to contrast Tyrese's steadfast commitment to his humanity.

That went through my mind when he picked up the bat and started stroking it, now that would be an very interesting twist. Lol

Or possibly more foreshadowing of his death to come.

I've thought the same thing about abbreviated dialogue and attribute it to too little time per episode vs the number of characters. That's one reason I wish episodes were hour long without commercials (on HBO for instance) or hour and half with commercials.

He's never going to get the beard though, poor Glenn.

If it IS an emulation, wouldn't it be something if Maggie died and he shaved his head becoming Shane-Glenn?

Glenn almost got hit with a bat (in Terminus) and now he has a bat. He has come full circle.

Yeah I think he's almost swapped places with the "butchers" going by what he was saying. That these days he wouldn't have let the guy out of the shipping container, he wouldn't have hesitated to kill Dawn, etc.

I almost feel like he's a bit of a loose cannon set to go off, and is now ready to arm up for a fight and as everyone else said above - is now where Rick was at the end of Season 3.

Glenn's decided to be the butcher, not the cattle.

The butcher almost went Barry Bonds on him at terminus. Now he's the one with the bat.

With all the foreshadowing with the bat though, I doubt things play out like they did in the comics. More of a tease to keep us talking

You seem to be easily confused.
