IF they are 60 miles south of D.C., roughly following the 95, then they are passing through Spotsylvania County, VA right now, probably just east of Spotsylvania Courthouse [a census designated place].

Alrite, you're so accurate, precise and specific that I don't know why, but can't help but chuckle.

Well, some forum members have hunches that those two are in cohorts with one another so it's possible. But I am going to stay oblivious and believe those 3 are all different people.

Btw, your gifs can be really gruesome, it's disturbing.

Yep, I-95 is an 8 lane highway through that area. Once they get to Fredricksburg it's even wider, since it has HOV lanes. Presumably they would stay off 95 though due to all the wrecks and walkers, and just parallel it. One thing that bothered me, and I know the money limitations they're dealing with, was that the terrain is obviously Georgia, not Virginia which is more developed in that area and has a lot less pine trees.

I-95 is a six lane highway south of exit 143 (I drive on it almost daily from Fredericksburg to Fairfax).

Sorry but there are lots of pines in Virginia. This is especially true in areas where the oaks and other hardwoods have been harvested, pines are planted to replace them and then they are harvested 20-30 years later. This happens a lot in the Fredericksburg-Culpeper region. Also south of Fredericksburg (since they are 60 miles out, they would be about 10 miles south of Fredericksburg) there ain't much development, just lots of forest and farms. Development in this area is clustered along roads and is not of the subdivision variety. ** I forgot to add that there are lots of streams/cricks/mini-rivahs in the area as well.

If you want to stay off of I-95, you would likely take route 1/301 North.

RT 1 splits from 301 well south of FredVegas. Either one would probably be full of dead cars in the ZA. There are plenty of country roads they can walk up that would be clear of cars (or not in this age of GPS). Jericho Rd to Partlow Rd up to Courthouse Rd in Spotsyltucky would be a good route to take although at Courthouse you'd likely find lots of dead cars.

Wouldn't they want to hit the big roads to raid cars?

How sure can we be of their location?

Well, we know they are 60 miles south of D.C. because Sasha said they had 60 miles to go. On the map they were going to follow the 95. They are on small roads, so definitely not the 95, but maybe somewhere near and parallel to it. I think they idea is that they are taking back roads to avoid bad guys, but yeah, it wouldn't hurt to peek in on the 95 here and there, to search cars.
