Halo 5 Will Take Up 60 GB On Your XBox One, And That's The Disc Version

Developers have been reaching for larger and larger game sizes over the years. According to some leaked images of the Halo 5 package, Master Chief's newest chapter will take up 60 GB on your XBox One hard drive. For those with a lot of games installed already, 60 GB is a lot to ask of anybody.

If you're buying the digital version of Halo 5, that'll be 60 GB PLUS the information that was on the disc version, equaling over 100 GB potentially. Talk about a hog, and for most people, it could take longer than a week to download. It's because of shenanigans like this that gamers raised a stink when the Collector's Edition of Halo 5 was announced to come without a disc. Microsoft had to backpedal and offer a physical version to anybody who bought a Collector's Edition and asked for one.

The Halo 5: Guardians bundle for XBox One doesn't have the disc either, and you can't ask for it. That model contains a 1 TB hard drive, but once you've downloaded Halo 5 in its entirety, one-tenth of that space will already be gone. Whether you have room for it or not, Halo 5 will launch October 27 for XBox One.

Wow.. that's quite big! I don't have an XBOX ONE but I'm sure Halo 5 is pretty immense considering it needs 60GB of space. And here I thought NBA was too big at 40GB.
