Yeah and Carol explicity mentioned to Ezekiel at the theater about being taken in by another community as a possible option (if the trade fair fell through), which very well may be foreshadowing.

 

Well. I'm definitely most curious about Henry.

Honestly, if that's true it's a sort of underwhelming list, but I guess they can't really spare many big players with Rick/Maggie/Michonne all leaving over season 9/10.

Also surprising: No one from Magna's crew

 

Disappointed to find out Kelly is not on the list. I don't like her character at all. To be honest, none of Magna's group have endeared themselves to me yet, though I do like Dan Fogler. However, I find Kelly extraneous and expendable.

 

I think Henry is an interesting twist. Honestly, their subplot was sort of lame in the comics after the initial meeting. Perhaps this way, instead of having a storyline that is relatively unimportant, Lydia can have further personal fuel to loathe her mother.

I'm just disappointed for Carol. How many times are they gonna kill off her kids?

 

Oh, I agree. What a rotten thing to do to Carol. I would much rather have had Kelly on the list rather than Henry.

 

It's basically just torturing poor Carol at this point lol. We joke about kids meeting Carol being their death sentence, but she really is cursed. Give her a break, damn.

Could have done with Kelly or Luke in the list. Honestly don't really recognise most of them aside from the big ones.

 

Alpha letting Siddiq live may be because he is a doctor and Alpha wants to absorb him into the Whisperers community?

 

If Alpha wants a doctor in her group, then why will she kill Enid, who's also a doctor?

 

First, Alpha perhaps does not want two 'doctors'. One is enough for her.
Second, maybe Alpha only asked about people's pre-ZA occupation before deciding killing whom.
Third, Enid is not a professionally trained doctor and is probably close to the capability of a RN, at best. So, maybe Alpha just wants a real doctor.
Fourth, Alpha has only 1 weakness. She falls for men with beard. First it was Frank. Then, it is Beta. Now, when she sees Siddiq's beard, she decides not to kill him....lol

Hopefully, it will be revealed in the episode.

 

Hmm... This is a rather confusing list, but I genuinely like it. I would MUCH rather lose Tara than Ezekiel and Rosita, both of which I am excited to keep on the show!

I would have swapped out Henry for Father Gabriel, only because Carol has been through enough traumas and I'm pretty irked by how long FG has lasted on this show (he's not a terrible character at least), but maybe this will set-up Lydia to be adopted by Carol and Ezekiel? Maybe Carol and Lydia will have an amazing revenge arc together. Maybe this will be the daughter/mother combo that breaks the Carol curse. Also, I agree that killing Henry truly does allow Lydia to become a much better character than her comic version by giving ger more creative freedom. Comic Lydia is sadly pretty stale now.

Enid also confuses me, but maybe Alden will start to finally take on a more Dante-esque role and they'll expand his character to set him up as a long term main cast member.

I think Kelly is on her way out though. Maybe in season 10 during the war. Connie losing her sister could mirror Daryl losing her brother and that very well may be something that brings them closer emotionally. Maybe Daryl is present and takes down a now walker Kelly to spare Connie the pain since he knows well how taking a sibling down feels.

I think this is a solid list though. Very pleased with the characters chosen and even more so by those spared (Thank goodness we kept Siddiq!!)

 

This goes against everything about survival of the fittest and being animals. I don't think Alpha would want a doctor in the group.
