a couple of times over the 8 seasons helicopters have come up (no pun intended)
if i was in Rick shoes I'd be somewhere between curious and waving like a batshit crazy man to get their attention!!

 

I have mixed feelings about this helicopter. I hope the helicopter doesn’t figure in the resolution to the battle with the Saviors. I want to see it play out without such a formidable weapon dropping out of the sky (so to speak).

 

It's the remaining members of Randall's group from season 2. They found a helicopter and were recruited by Morales to join Negan.

I agree it would be ridiculous if the helicopter is inserted into the Saviors story. Like with the Wolves a couple of seasons ago I think it's just a hint at a future storyline. Maybe there's a band of survivors left in DC. That would be a different type of twist that we haven't had since the whole CDC thing in Atlanta, and would make the most sense in having a helicopter.

 

Perhaps it has something to do with Heath and the weird PPP we found, because that's definitely one of our unresolved stories.

 

Could the helicopter have anything to do with the infamous "crossover" with FTWD?

I thought there was something in the air when Michonne was practicing sniping toward the end of the last season - where she was on top of the rusted out vehicle.

There is definitely something in the sky - and she almost reacted to it, but then we note it was a reaction to the walker she tried to shoot. But it COULD have been a helicopter. I think it was a bird, but I'd have to go back and look with a higher def tv lol

 

What she reacted to was smell and not sound or sight.
She smelled the mattresses on fire.

I want it to be Tobias. He was an intelligent character who figured out what was happening and some steps he would need to take to survive. He would arrive as a fully formed character that we already have been rooting for.

For me, it would be happiness like when Morgan reappeared.

No. I like his character just the way it is. It doesn't bother me that he flips back and forth.
