How Did the Family Die

    So, don't know if I missed it or not, but was it explained how the family died? TTD alluded to the dead bird in the chimney being the culprit, perhaps causing carbon monoxide poisoning, but I wasn't sure.

    The show runner said the backstory they came up with was the family survived the initial outbreak and had been living in the house. One night they all camped out in the living room in front of the fire and never woke up. The cause being the clogged chimney caused them to die in their sleep.

    I was thinking hopelessness and then drinking some grape Kool-Aid. But the CO poisoning seems to be a pretty good one too.
