We only were made aware of about 33 Alexandrians in S5, but in S6 we saw there were many more. Only 3 of the alexandrians who died in the wolf attack were known in Season 5, and only 3 of the ones who died on the road were from S5. Counting our group that arrived with Rick, there seems to be still around 45+ Alexandrians.

 

I just did a quick count. Unless there were off screen deaths, or residents that have just been forgotten, there should be 51 people currently alive living at ASZ, including Rick's group, and Judith. 52 if you count the wolf prisoner.

 

This is a good question. There is an interview with Tovah Feldshuh, the actress that plays Deanna. During the interview Tovah says, "She’s a woman who knows how to get a grandma to babysit little children in her 30-member society. "

Using that interview, the number of Alexandrians left is maybe 10, and Rick's group is about 12.

Did they decide later to increase the number of citizens since no definitive number was given onscreen? We'll get a better idea next episode me thinks.

Are we talking about Reg dying, then next thing we know two more recruiters show up?

 

More so that no matter how many Alexandrian's die, there will always be a never-ending supply of redshirts to kill off. This show is weird like that. Redshirts spawn from nowhere to replace those killed off.

 

When Rick joined there was 63 Alexandrians. (78 including Rick's group)

Then Morgan, Heath, Annie and Scott joined and Annie, Barnes, Sturgess, Richards, David, Duane, Holly, Carter, Shelly, Erin, Nicholas, Reg, Aiden, Pete and 14 unnamed survivors died.

So there's 39 left now, plus Rick's 13 and the wolf makes a total of 53.

 

Enid left and Glenn may or may not be dead, so currently 50 not counting the Wolf?
