i also think that he could/should have figured out a way to diffuse that situation without being bit. he certainly seemed pretty handy with that staff. also, it was kind of odd that Morgan never apologized for being such a d*ck and basically getting Eastman killed - as well as Eastman never being pissed off at Morgan for the same thing. They were both just kind of like "oh well".

 

I think Eastman may have wanted to die ...

I did find the incident rather homosexual. Here's this guy who has this proven philosophy that has served him well for what must be at least a few (if not several) years in this new world, certainly he's parried with walkers before and more than once, and... Off he goes gets himself bit.

It was the cheapness of it, like some Formula I race car driver who has been racing for years and suddenly one day he "forgets" to have the pit crew put air in the tires or some such thing, drives off and as a result wrecks fatally in the first turn (and not even at full speed, not even close, more like some 35mph thing).

I was like no way!

Yes I do realize sometimes life works out that way.

 

They needed another stupid dead (like beth's). This time, for season 6!

I'm with you. and for what it's worth, they are going to need crazy Morgan back for what's to come in 6B (or maybe 7A)

 

Eastman would have made a good Alexandrian. He would have needed a few mods to his philosophy, just as Morgan does. Sorry to see him go so soon.

 

Seems plot forced, and not a real death. Eastman outweighed Morgan by a lot, why not just shove him? Or use your ninja skills on the walker? Something to show you've been living on your own in the ZA killing walkers for 2 years that would show you to be more competent than what you did?

 

Could be worse. They could have said it "Jumped the Shark".

That doesn't even make sense. We all have scenes we don't like. Does that mean every scene is bad writing?

 

Careful. Crazy Morgan kills everything, friend or foe, indiscriminately. I don't think you want that. CLEAR!

 

Rick, Michonne, and Carol can handle crazy Morgan with no problems... even with his new found stick skills. The sword (Michonne) or gun(s) (Rick and Carol) are mightier than the stick!
