I Have Joined The World of Shotguns

    My SMG days are coming to a close, with only the MP5 and UMP45 to get to gold and I am done.

    I have entered the world of Shotguns.

    The USAS-12 is absolutely amazing, and once I have Range for it, the world is going to stop.

    Actually I kind of suck with it, my longest streak was 13 but that was sort of lucky. I don't really care about going on high streaks but getting kills with it is just so damn awesome.

    Until now, Ive hated shotguns will all my heart. I was primarily a rusher, with occasional hard-scoping games but shotguns really beat the $hit out of me sometimes.

    Holy $hit man, SHOTGUNS ARE FREAKIN AWESOME.

    Actually, the USAS-12 is pretty much the main rushing tool in MW3 due to the extra sprint.

    I know, I meant SMG and high mobility AR rushing. Its a very different feel than shotgun rushing.

    Its weird, I feel like as a shotgunner you take less damage. I die much slower using a shotgun than I do with an SMG.

    Until I get range, Im using Focus so I can continue to fire accurately while getting shot at. Seems to be working well.

    I have also recently ventured into the world of the USAS. It is pretty beast. I am excited to unlock range so it will be even more usable. I golded the ACR and PP90M1 and decided to try something different.

    good man!
    Been using the Spas12 for ages now, infact its now mo most used weapon with over 11,000 kills with it, i seem to have much more fun using the shotguns than anything else on MW3.

    Yeah it is more fun than an AR or whatnot. I die a little more often, but the game is less stale and I don't give a shit about K/D

    I use scavenger pro
    hardline pro
    steady aim pro

    grip
    focus(I dont have range or damage yet)

    i personally would always use extreme conditioning with a shotgun class.

    I dont use extreme conditioning with USAS because of the built in sprint.
    If you use scavenger pro it has extended mags

    What I use and think is optimal:

    USAS-12 w/ Damage and Extended Mags
    Secondary of choice

    Extreme Conditioning
    Hardline
    Dead Silence

    Specialist: Sleight of Hand>Steady Aim>Assassin

    While the built-in sprint is nice, I always thought you'd still miss out if you don't increase it even further (you'll need it when using shotguns). I always like Hardline, it makes the streak easier, but it's not necessary, so you could replace it with Assassin if you wish. If you do that, throw Sitrep Pro somewhere in the chain.

    If you run the Assault package, then go with Extreme Conditioning/Sleight of Hand, Assassin, and Dead Silence. And you can also choose Range instead of Damage if you wish.

    I love shotguns, but i've also been loving using snipers with acog scopes.

    I just can't get into snipers. I love the idea and often try them but I suck

    AS50 ACOG is really great. Got that gun to gold really quickly because of it. And the Barrett...that thing is a freakin automatic sniper rifle. Easiest kills in the game.

    I suck with the bolt action snipers...I get a few lucky kills here and there but I never can get a quickscope. Never. I don't know why most of the 5 year olds on this game can quickscope but I cant. Doesn't make sense.

    I tried that, It seems to be the common perk-of-choice with all shotgun users but I prefer SOH with EC and Scavenger in my Specialist.

    Ive used RSASS ACOG in the past for a loooooong time but right now its almost gold and personally Im sick of using it as an assault rifle. I prefer it as a spray sniper. I know people hate it but I got bored of it with anything else.

    i like killing people shamelessly with a striker. i love all the shotguns. but my fave is the 1887. it induces rage. luv it.
