I laughed at this too. Mostly because I wear glasses and have thought before how much that little thing would really SUCK in the apocalypse. What happens if I lose them? Or break them? Or I just need a stronger prescription over time? Dude, I'd be so SCREWED, I'd be like almost blind, like literally.

 

I also wondered how it would be if you had braces in the apocalypse, and you like broke a wire or something. What would happen then?

 

Goes to show that when finding people, you need a dentist and an optometrist (who knows how to grind lenses) to keep everyone in decent condition.

 

Eh, that's not nearly as bad as the glasses. At least you can still SEE.

What would happen? You just wouldn't have straight teeth....

And yea, I also had braces for 5 years lol.

 

There will be this new evil character with discolored teeth from wearing braces for 20 years.... ha!

Also, the first thing I'm heading out for when the ZA hits is my eye dr's office. I'm taking all the contacts and glasses I can carry.

 

I just realized throwing up on her glasses was a plot device so that she wouldn't be wearing them when she got shot.

 

They did a Twilight Zone episode about this once: "Time Enough at Last" with Burgess Meredith.

 

Ever seen British people? It would be like that.

 

Alas, Babylon used it too. The community's only doctor following a nuclear war has his glasses broken by highway men.
