The reality is that the likes of Lauren, Andy, Melissa and maybe even Norman are nearing the end of their desire to continue on in the show.

As fans I think we should all be mentally preparing ourselves to lose some of these characters in the next season or two. Andy and Lauren are the only two remaining actors whose characters are still alive in the comic. Hell, Daryl is not even in the comic to begin with. So writing a story arc that allows those two (Rick and Maggie) exits from the show will prove to be a tad more difficult than Carol and Daryl.

Of course I do not proclaim myself to be a writer or someone who knows how to perfectly coin a script so what the f*ck do I actually know? LOL

The first thing I remember Scott Foley in is a show i watched on the WB as a teen called Felicity...

 

Maggie has been more or less a political figure in the comics ever since the end of AOW. She dealt with the Whisperers more than Rick did.

Much of her story was tied into the Carl and Whisperer girl thing that was going on. Now with Carl no longer in the show, and the Whisperer girl yet to even be introduced into the show, and us really not knowing how big of a role the Whisperers will play in the tv show it wouldn't be that difficult to write her out of the story.

All they would need to do is have Maggie get killed off and Rick send someone like Michonne to look over the place or perhaps he elevates someone like Jesus to be the Hilltop leader.

I for one think there are a lot of places they could take her character besides the Carl/whisperer story...i'm not a huge fan of the whisperer arc to begin with. Lydia & Carl were just weird.

 

I do not know a great deal about that arc but yeah, creepy in regard to carl and lydia for sure. I just as soon they skip over that and come up with something completely left field

That may not exactly fit under the umbrella of a police procedural show, but its funny that there are 19,000 police prodecural or FBI type shows out there, and everyone says that zombies are so overdone because there are about 3 zombie shows.

So much agree with this. For a long time, I thought she was just a drag for Glenn's character, and that his utter coolness was suffering from association with her.

I only just saw this post, but yeah, totally agree.

9 seasons is a long, long time. And TWD films from like, May through to November? That's a big block of the year for actors to take dedicate to one job, even if it is a great job that pays well.

That's probably part of the reason Lauren Cohan asked for more money in negotiations. She's not able to take a lot of other roles because half of the year, she's busy. And then there's poor Andy with his UK-based family.

I need that jacket. Where can I buy one?
