Lilly did not sleep with the governor in one night. You need to pay attention to the episode. The governor is in the bathroom with a head wound, then flash forward and he's playing chess with Meaghan. His head wound has completely healed. That had to take a couple of weeks. Also, the governor didn't do anything to give them reason to distrust him. He gave Lilly a gun, got the backgammon game and oxygen tanks, and saved them from their dad when he turned.

 

TG was there a few weeks. His head wound had healed by the time David Chalmers died.
