I was wigging out. LOL I had large unconstructed boxes lying on my bed ( I am moving ) and the remote was under it. and they jumped up on them and were tap dancing on it and it was so cute and all of a sudden, my tv changed to a pay-per-view movie and it wanted me to confirm the purchase. And they wouldn't stop running around on it and I had no idea where the remote was and I was like and I finally threw them off and got under there and controlled the remote. LMAO

 

I enjoyed the episode, but it was a bit weakish in Department Logic at times. I'll skip over the part that the zombies would no longer be piled up against the outer doors after awhile, but were rather just milling around outside, so they could have just really quietly cracked the door and put a board there to let air in, and just kept a guard on watch to quickly slam it shut again if the walkers started to notice.

But it was really that essential to kill the 10 or so bitten people [out of maybe 50 or 75] to save oxygen, even to the point where they were willing to fight with everyone to do it? [a fight which would have expended more oxygen than it would just letting those 10 people sit there quietly]. They didn't need that silly plot device as an excuse to euthanize the bitten....they have a ready-made REAL reason to euthanize them...they will soon turn into flesh eating zombies!! lol.

And they really made Alicia the ONLY survivor out of 50 to 75 people? The star of the show had the very best O2/Co2 ratio?? . I would have had at least 6 or 8 others survive, so this coincidence would be a bit more believable.

Sorry, had to rant a bit about the logic of this episode, but I did enjoy the message it was trying to give us, and overall I liked it .

I don't think that there were any other survivors because anyone who didn't suffocate was eaten. The only reason Alicia wasn't eaten was because she had the dead walker on top of her. Luck was very much on her side this episode!

 

People look to Alicia as a leader? What is she supposed to be? 17? 21? And how dumb is she? NO SAFE PLACE! WAAGH!

 

I kind of wish that, given they needed to kill everyone off, They just opened up the doors and had a fight to the death to try and get free.

Similar to the 'No Way Out' episode in TWD but in a losing cause which meant minimal survivors who eventually get saved by Strand and Mads

 

Also, if they really wanted to build Alicia as a genuine badass survivor, you could've had her kill one of the bitten Ranch people, wait for them to turn, kill the zombie, cover herself in the zombie guts like she's watched Nick do in the past. Volunteer to leave the pantry to find help as everyone else is killed over the episode

 

I enjoyed this episode a lot. A couple times I thought Alicia may get bitten. But of course they did another mass extinction event and EVERYONE died off but her lol =\ like you said, they should have kept a few others as fellow survivors (like Christine, Pat, Erin & a handful of others). Oh well, off to the new storyline! Doubt the dam will be a new home, too big of a target.

 

Yeah she's only 17 or 18 was a senior in highschool season 1

 

The dam might even be the enemy or end up lost to Daniel and his friends. Ofelia might get killed too. Promo is hinting at something but not sure what yet.

I find it a bit awkward everyone would listen to her. She might be the "wife" of one of the leaders but still? Also why did not militia man do the job she did? Bit or not he has strength to help for a bit.

The whole plan to defend the place was so horrid. And no one checking the ventilation on and off in the place? Did they stop when the indians started to stalk around the vicinity? A prepper not preparing! Im not sure, but this episode really threw the whole arc away, all the growing together, looking for water, the militia turning to help instead of fight and disarm the indian last 3 guards. This whole arc out the window...feels bit sad. Alicia going weird and Nick and Troy following her, is this another one of those Carol "Im leaving" or is it a Morgan t hing? Will she be gone for a bit?

I understand Nick doing weird things, he is an old survivor from his drug abuse but Alicia being seen as a leader? Nick too? Bit awkward.

 

Yes, it is a bit awkward that wherever they go, people look to our main characters as leaders so quickly. Here we have a large group of rugged ranchers and Native Americans who have spent their entire lives learning how to survive off the land and leading others to do the same thing, and for some reason they all just turn to an 18 year old girl who 2 months ago was worried about getting her English essays in on time.

And some of these people have been living with this pantry for quite some time, and keeping it maintained, and maybe some of them in the group had helped to build it. Yet Alicia, who has been in it maybe a dozen times is left to figure out the ventilation problem, and even somehow "calculate" how much time they have left before they die.

Although I do have to say that Falling Skies was FAR worse at this type of plot contrivance, and in one case even had a race of aliens who had mastered interstellar travel step back and leave it up to a human English teacher to figure out how to fly another race's spaceship. Because that English teacher was the star of the show

 

I also liked the episode and agree with the logic issues. There's also the logic issue of why Alicia didn't stay in that cage and off the walkers via the cage. That was just forced conflict for the sake of her character. EIther that or she is truly the dumbest survivor in the ZA ever. If Alicia isn't smart enough to stay in that cage and use her knife to kill the zombies 1 by 1, then she really shouldn't survive on her own more than 30 minutes.

There's also the moment where she passed out and the walker was knawing on her shoe. REALLY!?!!??! So for everyone else who passed out the walkers bit their flesh but by coincidence for the star they tried to bite her shoe? lol...................

Overall a decent episode, but there were toooooooooooooo many of those logic things in one episode for me to overlook. I usually can just forget 2-3 of them but this episode had them every 20 seconds.
