When I see the word "Coda" the only thing I can think of is Led Zeppelin...

    Definition of Coda:
the concluding passage of a piece or movement, typically forming an addition to the basic structure.
a concluding event, remark, or section.

Music was always a big part of Beth's character, so it is actually a beautiful title for the episode.

Not only was music a part of Beth's character, but this episode was the conclusion of her character. In the end, she was strong but a little too headstrong. (Oh, dear, there's a joke in there ... it might be too soon.)

One could argue that her head wasn't strong enough.

I dunno, her move was pretty thick headed.

In addition to the telegraphing of Beth death--which I find to be an astounding spoiler on the part of the writers--I wonder if the title also refers to the appearance of Morgan, and to the circle-X mark on the tree.

Yeah, she must have lost her mind to think of that.

I think Coda had to do with Rick repeating Gareth's "can't go back, Bob" line. It was a great revisitation of the theme of being able to go back, or not (which Tyreese and Sasha also touched on).

Will be very curious to see what this turn of events means for Daryl's character.

Haha! This thread's spiral into jokes over Beth's death pleases me. Carry on!

I thought of this album right away too when I heard the episode title. Interesting that this was the last Led Zeppelin album, released 2 years after the drummer John Bonham died, which the title Coda fits rather nicely and was chosen by Jimmy Page. They disbanded after his death.

I don't know, I was wondering that too.
