    If T-Dog used the hacksaw to cut the pipe, would Merle go after Rick and T-Dog? I've rewatched the series for the 11th time now, and I just thought about it. What do you think?

    It's a possibility. Maybe they were just fed up with Merle and figured they'd leave him there. Merle was explosive at the time, so I wouldn't rule it out that he'd go after Rick and T-Dog.
