Michonne has played as one of the most important and interesting characters in TWD. she came right in the middle of the prison arc and has had some VERY interesting conflicts. Like how she seduced tyreese. or when she was raped and then tortured the governor. and even her brief relationship with morgan. after all this time theres always been some place to put her. and i think shes a fan favorite pretty much because of that damn epic katana! but dont you think her purpose in the comics is starting to grow more and more faint? with the first "bad guy" (i.e. the governor) she played a HUGE role and when people imagine him and woodbury, michonne cant help but pop up in their minds. but what about our second bad guy? she was so important and influential in the first evil community arc that wouldnt it make since for her to be "offed" the second time around. i think she'll finally be defeated and killed by negan. id honestly like to see her being killed as a punishment, like glenn. what if negan took andrea and michonne hostage and forced rick to only save one and shoot the other, so he ends up saving adrea and shooting michonne. i dont know seems interesting. how and when do you guys think she'll go?

I doubt it. I'm pretty sure she'll be around for a bit longer.

Yeah, I don't think so. Not anytime soon, anyway. She may not be as prominent as she was in Woodbury, but she's still a huge part of Rick's group. With so many characters, occasionally each of them has to take a step back out of the spotlight so others can have their moment.

Yeah, in #106 I'm surprised we were able to see more page-time of characters in Alexandria.

To me she seems the least likely to die joint with Rick. I reckon it would actually be possible for her to take over from rick as the main protagonist maybe not for another couple of years though. Although I could be completely wrong and RK could kill her off in the next issue

I think she may even survive the saviors. her time is likely a ways off. But i could easily be wrong.

It's like a soap opera really. One week the writers can't get enough of a character, the next they're hardly seen.

    I think Andrea.

Sorry if this comes out not making sense. It's hard to write out a theory when its based in your gut (and it's my first post).

I don't think it's Michonne's time. She still has too much mystery. Why would you have a mysterious character as one of your main characters and not give time for development? I mean, think about it... How much do we really know about Michonne? She was a lawyer, she had a family, she had a mortgage, she took fencing, she likes lifting weights, follows football, and that's about all.

On the other hand we don't know much about the others either, but they don't have the same cloak of mystery as Michonne. Her moments of development are always powerful. Remember the scene where she hangs her katana above the mantle and says, "I'm through with you"?

I just feel like she has more time in her. I think she will be developed more.

I fear for Andrea. I feel like her discussion with Rick about "being the ones who always survive" included a lot of foreshadowing. 107 is supposed to "push Rick beyond his limit. Again". Ricks biggest snap was the death of Lori/Judith (ring, ring, telephone anyone?), so couldn't Andrea's death be his next big snap?

I don't know...maybe. They are making you think that means that Carl will probably die, which I don't think he will. If he does, Rick will be done too, like he stated in earlier volumes/issues. Maybe Andrea, but...who knows, Kirkman likes to trick us.

I think Andrea will be the next of the remaining prison group to die. Maybe I was just over analyzing, but I thought I saw some foreshadowing of a possible relationship between Michonne and Rick. They are obviously trying to make it look like Carl is going to die, which I don't buy for one second. He is the future of the TWD after Rick inevitably dies at some future point in the story. At the end of 106, Negan didn't really seem to have many men with him. If Negan bluffs Rick into thinking Carl is dead, what is to stop the group from just gunning down the saviors and Negan, who have no guns? Although that is unlikely because Negan probably has Carl in his truck with the saviors.

    my 3 cents

Michonne will stick around for a while. the only way i see her dying is sacrificing herself for Carl. theyve always had an unspoken bond that i really enjoy. but i do think shes gotten quite a bit of development in the Alexandria/Saviors arc. like someone said the fling with Morgan, putting the katana on the mantle, storming out of the party. ive really come to enjoy Michonne for more than just her badassery

as for Andrea, its way too soon after Glenns death to off another original survivor. i could be wrong but i just dont see that happening. especially since Rick has to die first so i can have Andrea ;)

I wasn't implying that it would happen soon. I think she will be around for a while, but I still think that she's the next main character from the prison group to die. I don't really count Maggie or Sophia here because they are kinda just background characters for the most part. That being said, I think Sophia will be around for a very long time, probably outliving Rick if he ends up dying at some point. Andrea is pretty useless in a fight without ammo. Michonne on the other hand...

On a side note, the cover of issue 110 implies Michonne is going to be fighting a worthy opponent. That is if Adlard and Kirkman aren't trying to mislead us again with events on the cover that do not materialize in the issue.

Well I would have said that Michonne isn't anywhere near her way out, but I was thinking about it last night and she is complaining an awful lot about being bossed around, to go defend stuff, attack stuff, etc. And thus I think we could end up with an interesting little dissent in the ranks, which could lead to anything.

107 was a pretty big snap if you think about it. Rick knows how dangerous Negan is and knows he has no problem killing anyone at anytime. Rick knows his best play is to lay low until he can build a larger and stronger resistance to take down Negan. All this and
Those few pages scared the s**t out of me.

I don't see her or Andrea dying anytime soon, and I sure hope they don't, but it may be inevitable sooner or later.

I hope never, she's the most interesting character to me and I love her more than any of them.

I don't think her death would be as "in your face" as the 'hints' we've noticed lead us to believe. I feel like Michonne would be one of those characters who just gets killed without warning and is a total shock.
