    Strand needs to shoot everyone - throw them overboard and be on his way. Not sure what his grand scheme is - but he was only gonna take one person with him on the boat. This group - these are not the droids you are looking for.

    That part wouldn't have been above water. Since the hull was full of holes the boat would have been entirely sunk.

    No, we can't say that. There may have been other parts of the boat that had true underwater water pockets in it, helping the entire structure float. We didn't see the entire boat.
