When I see such scenes in film or TV , I wonder what must go through the actors minds when given such material. They studied hard in acting school for years dreaming of serious dramatic roles they could sink their teeth into and get... sh*t for roles?
Then you get method actors who go overboard: I have to eat a dozen bean burritos to prepare so I can give a realistic performance! The camera man says oh sh*t , I am calling in sick tomorrow.
The overenthusiastic director : Cut! you didnt act surprised enough when you noticed some reading material nor angry enough when you were interrupted. You have important business to attend to. I dont want such a sh*tty performance..
