I hope so. But I have a feeling it still may be longer. And maybe it's because I've been a huge Lennie James fan since Jericho, but I feel like they've been teasing him for 5 seasons now. Sure, we got to play peek-a-boo few times, but it's been a long wait.

 

exactly. I've been waiting for Morgan to catch up since the pilot episode. I didn't care for the one episode he was in two seasons ago, and now we've been stuck with ten second clips of Morgan for several seasons. It's ridiculous..

 

Really want Morgan to come back asap! Loved his character. Like others have said wasn't crazy about the Clear episode he was in a few seasons ago but would love to see him rejoin the group.

I think its safe to say Morgan will return in the finale. They wouldn't have teased him for this long if they didn't have plans for him by the end of the season. The only thing that sucks is we'll have to wait seven months to actually see him in action. I'm hoping he gets a lot of focus next season. If AMC plays their cards right (meaning they don't kill him off right away) he could potentially be one of the best characters on the show for awhile.

 

Holy cow, people who didn't like Clear? It's like finding a unicorn.

 

I know right? Despite it being essentially a filler episode, the very presence of Lennie Jones made it god tier.

Im just pissed that Morgan didnt leave with Rick at the end..
seemed like a total bullcrap reason why he stayed alone....

 

I wish it could have been that way. The actor must have been tied to other projects at the time and couldn't commit.

i can appreciate AMC really being married to the idea of james playing morgan.. he's big time actor..

but if the lack of "morgan" thru 5 seasons was/is based on james simply not being available??

No, just season 3-4.

He wasn't necessary during 1 and 2. In a perfect world he would have joined the cast in season 3 when Rick, Carl and Michonne went back for more guns, but Lennie James must have had a tight schedule around that time. During season 4, I believe he was part of the ill-fated AMC drama "Low Winter Sun."

Gimple mentioned prior to season 4 that we'd see Morgan again, so I'm guessing they've been trying to get him back on board since season 3 and just had to wait until Low Winter Sun was axed. Now we know he's coming, we've seen him twice this season, it's just a matter of tying his return into the story.
