I always watch TV with the closed captions so it’s always surprising to me when people say they don’t understand what is being said on TV using just their ears. I forget not everyone watches TV with CC! Just the norm for me as a hard of hearing person haha. But yeah the CC captured everything he was saying.

 

It was difficult to make out at times. I always watch the show with cc on, thankfully.

As an aside, when Beta turned and the Walker's mouth was moving in sync to the voice in his head, it was quite startling.

 

Beta was hallucinating. I think he is at an early stage of mental breakdown. His collapse is triggered by the death of Alpha.

Regarding the mumbling, to me it is not just this time, poor audio has been a recurring problem. I am not sure if it is the actors saying the script or bad recording on site. Speaking of audio, actually the lighting is often problematic. Often it is just too dark and you just cannot see details around. Often I have to pause frame and turn up the screen brightness a bit. Despite these drawbacks, I still love the show.

 

Yes, I understood that. Still startling.

 

So glad I'm not the only one that had problems with Beta. I never thought of using the CC, but then I also think I shouldn't need to. And why are his teeth so gross when Alpha's looked like a toothpaste commercial?

 

right there with you - I can’t watch TV any more without CC. Beta has marbles in his mouth!
