People watch shows for all kinds of reasons,I don't agree with the poster either but I also could not really care any less why they watch or don't watch.
There are any number of reasons to like this show hat are not about Rick?

Another example,I was/am pretty big on the Beth/Emily Kinney train. I think she is adorable!
She is coming here to perform and in a small great setting too.
Despite my like of her you could not pay me to go see her sing.

I am accepting offers though if it means that much to you!

Pretty much. The idea of the show is that we're watching "regular people" being thrust into a completely foreign situation where that they are not equipped to deal with. Which is why we don't see a strong military presence or have a lot of insight into the plague that caused the apocalypse.

Rick Grimes is just an average man, not a typical zombie hacking protagonist.

 

The show wouldnt have been able to relate to a lot of people if Rick was made out to be a Rambo type character, his weaknesses and failings are what help us all look at him and empathize with his choices and what hes facing and the parental decisions he has to make, i know as a parent myself i often think what would i do and more often than not i would do the same thing, his "family" of survivors mean a lot to him but given the choice between sacrificing Carl or say Daryl its goodbye Daryl everytime and thats the way it should be.

I completely agree. Rick lacks many leadership qualities, and his incompetency costs people their lives.
