I thought maybe they would do the scene from the comics where the door is left unlocked but Negan remains in his cell and flaunts the fact that he didn't escape.

But it makes sense that the show is moving things along more quickly...

 

JDM is an awesome actor, and he has a magnificent way of inciting a love/hate reaction from the fans toward his Negan character, but.........




Oh. My. GOSH! Am I BEYOND ready for the Negan arc to be over! SOMEONE KILL HIM ALREADY!!!!!

And I DEFINITELY do not want to see him become a productive member of society in any of the communities. (If someone would just kill him, this wouldn't be something we'd have to worry about, now would it?) Talk about suspending disbelief!! Really? This evil person who gleefully bashed in the heads of two beloved community members - family members - becomes one of the gang?? C'mon........

I can't see him redeemed either but he's a practical man. I'm going to assume that Carol charred all his willing acolytes so when he gets back to the Sanctuary he's gonna find he's on his own. So what to do? That's pretty rough to start from scratch so he's gonna have to make some decisions. When faced with a solo existence or going back to Alexandria I think he'll go back...eventually. Now he is an escapee so he can't just drag his ass back and say, here I am so I wonder if he'll show up to help the communities fight against the Whisperers. He's a good fighter and that might ease the way for a re-entry cause I think this new group are far too whack even for him. I'd never trust him myself, and I think his mind will be turning over all the ways that he can make this situation work for his benefit but I think our groups are going to need all the able fighters they can get. One wrong move on his part and then they kill him!

 

Maybe Negan will apply for the recent opening as Head of Hill Top

 

Why did he go to Michonne's house--- kill her, kidnap Judith, both? Whose room was he in when he saw the child's drawing on the wall?

 

I can't fathom his objective, but I'm pretty sure that's Michonne's room.

 

That's what I thought since the drawing above the bed showed her, Rick, Carl and Judith, but sometimes my screen is so dark I can't make much out. All I could wonder was what is he doing??...he's been locked up for over 6 years, escapes, and decides to stick around? I would have been scootin' my behind out of there before anyone noticed I was out. And where the hell is everyone in Alexandria that an escaped prisoner can walk down the street with a shovel in hand, lol?

I certainly hope Negan tries his "We are Negan" shit again so it presents the chance for Daryl to end his ass. Both Rick and Maggie are gone and Rosita tried and failed so it needs to be Daryl. From the preview it looks like he found his precious Lucille and went back to the Sanctuary so fingers crossed.

I know some of us want him to join the communities but do we really think he deserves to be redeemed after what he did to such beloved characters? Uh no.

 

Can't tell a whole lot from the clip, but I'd like to see him pass the handprints of Carl and Judith, just to see his reaction to that.
