Just watched the last few scenes of the Season 5 finale on the marathon. There's another thread somewhere that talks about blood on the sword before Pete confronts the meeting. I watched specifically for this and unless they cut a few seconds I didn't see any blood on it until he slashed Deanna's husband.

I was looking for that too and they must have fixed it.

So all the hype and speculation about who Pete attacked first if probably totally irrelevant. Like a lot of speculation on here. But it keeps things interesting.

I didn't catch the marathon rerun. The blood is still on the katana (between Carol saying "not now" and the cut) with the cable on-demand version. It'll be interesting if it was clearly planned = Carl or Judith dead, they do some quick damage control (like Maggie asking about Beth in off screen voice overs) = dead redshirt character, or they completely ignore it like so many similar filming mistakes before it.

If you didn't catch the marathon rerun why are you commenting? I'm betting the blood originally seen by some was from a previous take of the scene and someone (who is now fired) forgot to clean the sword before the retake. Simple mistake. Too many conspiracy theorists.

There was blood on the katana, clear as day, before he cut Reg's neck. It didn't look like smelly brownish walker blood either. He killed or stabbed SOMETHING, but I doubt it was one of the kids. Hard to believe it was just a continuity error considering how meticulously they film this thing, but if later edits omit the blood, who knows?

I wish they would fix the Magic Van thing. If they can put a man on the moon, they can do that.

    Katanas are effective tampons.
