I don't think they needed to hug due to the awkwardness over their relationships with Abe. But the looks they gave each other showed they have the understanding that they can go on from what happened. Now they both need to honor Abe by fighting.

 

I agree with [MENTION=104111]Weallgotit[/MENTION]. They exchanged a look which showed that they were ready to move forward. It was unspoken. Even when Father Gabriel asked Rosita about Sasha in the church, she became quiet. Remember...it was Sasha whom Abraham acknowledged before his death--but it was Rosita whom Negan taunted with Lucille, when it was drenched in Abraham's blood.

 

Those were powerful nods. Very powerful. All that was needed.

 

Yeah I think it was a pretty powerful acknowledgement and also very realistic...anything more would have possibly come off forced or out of character.

 

This is one of the best executed (and realistic) love triangles I've seen recently. I think there is no way they would hug right now. That's a hurt that takes longer than a couple weeks.

Back in 7x01, Rosita didn't even want to look at Sasha after the Saviors had left. I just rewatched it: Rosita's reaction to Abraham's goodbye to Sasha was a little agonizing to watch. She looked like one of her organs had gotten ripped out of her.

 

100% dead on. That nod said everything.

 

There will be plenty of time for pillow fights later.

It would be odd if they hugged. They still have issues over Abe that hasn't been hashed out yet.

The head nod was perfect for the occasion. 'I'm still with you no matter what'.

 

I was so unsatisfied like DAMN IT CARL you kiss her and leave her then you decide to just hop on up to the door OKAY the least you could've done was WALK BESIDE HER!

 

They were holding hands at one point.

Carl did give her the "'Sup girl" head nod and Enid got all giggly. So there's that.

 

Really? Like in Hearts Still Beating, or are you referring to when they held hands in Go Getters? I only watched the finale once so I wouldn't be surprised if I missed that part! :zombies_lol:
