Re-read what I wrote about water and resources.

 

While I agree that using potable water to flush toilets would probably be a bad idea, there are probably plenty of water sources that would be questionable for drinking but suitable for use in the plumbing. And if you were planning on staying a while in a house with a functioning sewer or septic system, keeping your bathrooms usable might be worth doing.

Perhaps he was just got in there and before he had a chance to even lift the toilet seat up, Rick surprised him and he fell backwards on the toilet and he was just looking to see if it was a member of his group?

 

I'm thinking maybe he was a softie and was traumatized by the torturing/murder of that captive guy they had downstairs. He barricaded himself in the bathroom to get some air and clear his mind.

I was thinking the same. He probably didn't like what he saw, and was made to clean it up.

 

I think i'm right in saying that he'd kept his trousers up but taken his boots off (there was what looked like a pair of motorcrosss boots next to the toilet).

The whole scene was weird and un-necessary i thought.

The guy that was choked out and saw Rick under the bed could have been killed by the other guy who threw him out of the bed and then choked out/dead guy could have been the new walker who attacked his former friends and meanwhile Rick makes his escape..

Just a thought though.....

 

Definitely boots next the toilet.
