I may have disagreed with many of his political choices (Sarah Palin), but I never questioned his love for his country.
My sister got to meet him and his mother, and said that he is/was a terrific guy. This was years ago, and he was helping sponsor some program to help local schools in AZ.

Even from my side of the aisle, I alway thought he was an honorable man who put his country first. I may not have voted for him but his untimely death made me sad. We need men like him more than ever.

He wasn’t afraid to cross the aisle and vote with the democrats. That’s what I liked. Country over party, when he could.

Burt Reynolds was my first glimpse of a naked man. Lol. I was 12, and my sister had a centerfold of him on her bedroom wall ( she had her own apartment).

Actually, I guess it is probably not that uncommon now--your generation has so much access to so much stuff. Never could have happened to me, thank God. lol

Well mine was a little older than what we have access to now. This was back in 1983 and we were supposed to be popping in a VHS movie. What it was labeled as is NOT what it was. And it was smack dab in the middle of a scene. LMAO

The exact same thing happened to me too Wendy.
I must of been about the same age as yourself then maybe a little older. My dad got a copy of Alligator and my parents, my brother and I sat down to watch it. Dad pressed play on the vhs and instead of a large scary green reptilian terrorizing the sewers of Chicago we saw a large trouser snake pounding a screaming Swedish lady . My mum was shouting at dad to “turn it off, turn it off” my brother and I were wondering where the Alligator was and my dad was fumbling with the remote.
I’m pretty sure he watched it later, he was probably looking for the Alligator too.
