Recent influx of spam/advertise bots

    Hey everyone, you may notice a lot of spam/advertise posts lately.

    These are simply bots posting to advertise junk, they could at least make it related to H1Z1 eh?

    Anyways, the best way to help combat these are to report the posts. Once you report them, the post is sent to us and we can monitor all new and old reports to make sure everything gets cleaned up!

    Also, make sure you DO NOT click anything on those posts as they could contain a variety of things such as viruses and/or money farming.

    I have an active Xenforo website and there's no bot that will combat these spam bots as a lot of them are no longer bots. Its real people posting these messages now. A way you could combat this is limit new users only to be able to post in a certain section like a "Introduction" thread and that way its contained to one spot.

    Have you tried the stopforumspam plugins? It stops both bots and people. I was absolutely shocked by how well it did the job.
