Anyone elses ears prick up when they heard that phrase?

When Merle had shot Michonne and Neill started freaking out (why by the way? but thats another question) Merle said tha she was heading into the RED ZONE, and she was shot so she'd be dead anyway.

I think the red zone may be where herds are more prolific, but how would they know that?

Or is it simply somewhere thats more populated and unknown, like a city where they're would be more walkers?

Anyone else have any ideas, or know what it is?

PS Why do you think Neill freaked out? I mean, he survived a ZA, he must have seen this before, was he really that sheltered in Woodbury......or is it something more?

yeah i asked myself too about that term "the red zone"

    1. It could be a sector with many zombies due to the enviroment, an area they hardly cleaned out (if that even makes sense in the open woods)

    2. No. Now that im writing it. It comes to my mind there could be other dangerous people having there places there. Like raiders, bandits u know the type of gangs.

    3. funny thought:
the red zone is a zombie herde route.
the zombie herds happen to run arround perfect circled routes, they tend never to leave them without any disattraction. haha after they are disattracted and run over some survivers, they tend to follow a new circled route. they follow the sun and moon. :p

I figured it was just the outside of their perimeter "safe zone" with those traps set up around the town.

Neil freaked out because he saw what Michonne was capable of. Unfortunately it was Merle that got him in the end.

I completely agree with Bassman and legendx66 on this issue. Sometimes the best answer is the simplest.

I thought that was a bit of bad writing for Merle's character. He knew she's been surviving on her own and even had zombie pets. There's no way he'd really believe that she'd die, "red zone" or not, and to let her go and probably return would seriously jeopardize his life in Woodbury. He had that other guy as cannon fodder, he should have went after her when he knew she was wounded.

Neal freaked out because he was a little puss, he probably brushed women's hair for living back in Woodbury.

I thought it was great writing because it wasn't showing that he really believed she'd die.....it was showing that he was scared to death of her and didn't want to go for round two. Wounded or not, he got a taste of her and knew he didn't stand a chance.

The only thing that Michonne should have been afraid of was his gun.
