That's right, Ricks Death has already been written by Robert Kirkman

He's already confirmed that Rick will die at some point but I don't think he's ever commented on if it is already written either way. I don't see where people are making the assumption. Especially without a link.

I believe is actual death isn't written yet .. I had red in an intervieuw with Kirkman that ''he got something coming'' for Rick. And he also said ''Even Rick can't survive the storyline till it's ending''. Both lines doens't mean that he will die soon, or that his death is allready written.

Can't RK just write a book called "1000 ways Rick Grimes can die" and have the fans speculate from there.

I'm calling it now. He just randomly has a heart attack and dies in a non milestone issue.

Yeah, it's been written in the same way Luke Skywalker's death has already been written for the final film in the new SW trilogy.

It's always been a great possibility that Rick won't live to see the the light of day after we flip the final page of the final issue. Maybe even before. That doesn't mean it's written, just that the seed of the idea is there. After all, TWD was originally based off Night of the Living Dead, which doesn't exactly have an upbeat ending...

Maybe Carl will die and Rick will lose what he has to live for and maybe die saving the group.

Rick would just die right after Carl if that happened. He wouldn't live 3 issues. carl has much more potential after rick's death and I would love to see him adapt.
Rick's death is really unlikely. Both of them dying is so unlikely you might as well win all state lotteries at the same exact second. lol
Rick is Luke! The gov. was his father.

The only way I see Rick dying is that Carl turns and Rick lets himself get bitten to join his son roaming the earth undead. At least that way he can get some peace of mind or piece of mind?

Robert Kirkman: Yeah, Rick could go at any time. I think that Carl could carry the book now. I know that there are interesting stories I could do with him, Andrea, or Michonne. To a certain extent, I think it would be interesting to follow Negan for a little bit and see what that story would be like.

I definitely think that Rick has been the anchor for the series and may be the anchor of the series for a long time. I do have plans for him and I know where his story is going, but I promise that Rick will not survive the entire run of the book.

Those quotes are a lot different than it's already been written, like the OP stated.
